How to Connect Cursor to Google Ads
Cursor speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which means you can add your Google Ads as an MCP server and query it right from your editor. Here's how, with AdsMCP.
Why do this?
If you build in Cursor, you can pull live Google Ads, GA4 and Search Console data into your workflow — prototype reports, scripts and AI agents against real marketing data without wrestling the Google Ads API.
Step 1 — Create your AdsMCP account
Start a free trial at adsmcp.io and click Connect Google (secure OAuth, read-only by default).
Step 2 — Get your MCP endpoint
In your AdsMCP dashboard, copy your hosted MCP endpoint (and API key).
Step 3 — Add AdsMCP to your Cursor MCP config
Add AdsMCP to your Cursor MCP servers configuration using the endpoint and key from your dashboard. Cursor will discover the available tools (list accounts, get campaigns, performance reports, search terms, GA4, Search Console, and more).
Step 4 — Query from Cursor
Ask Cursor things like:
- "List my Google Ads campaigns and last-30-day performance."
- "Find search terms with spend but no conversions."
Notes
AdsMCP is read-only by default; any write action (like adding negatives) is gated behind explicit confirmation. Tokens are encrypted and never used to train AI.
